AIW: Girls night out

FIRST ROUND:
-HAILEY HATRED VS. ALLISON WONDERLAND
Not much else can be said about Hailey Hatred in AIW. She's beat up men, she's wrestled in barbed wire, she's put people thru tables, she's pinned Mickie Knuckles and she's even bled. She wants to fulfill her destiny and become the first ever AIW Woman's Champ. But standing in her way is a competitor that's been recently seen in places like ROH, Allison Wonderland. Wonderland is a sometimes ally of former AIW competitors Tyler Black and Jimmy Jacobs. Will their guidance lead to a victory in AIW? Tyler is a former Intense Champ and held it for over a year. Will the cocky upstart from Minnesota be able to over come the first ever female competitor in AIW? Needless to say, it's sure to be a very interesting match up.

-JENNIFER BLAKE VS. BRITTANY FORCE
When AIW announced it's female tournament, one name was brought up AIW management more than anybody else's. She's dominated in UWA Hardcore, Shimmer and all over the US and Canada. She's one "Girl Dynamite" Jennifer Blake. Known for her explosive offense and uncanny ability to take large amounts of punishment, Jennifer is looking to add the AIW Woman's Title to her long resume. Standing in her way is Brittany Force from Pennsylvania. Brittany has won numerous local woman's titles but has never seen the success that Jennifer Blake has. Brittany is obviously trying to use this tournament and this match with Blake to springboard her career. Will Blake add another notch into the win column of her career? Or Will Ms. Force pin the international sensation and start on her road to greatness?

-SUPER OPRAH VS JESSIKA HAVOC
In the strangest match in the tournament, "Sorority Sister" Super Oprah will be wrestling Jessika Havoc. Much speculation has been made on the sex of Super Oprah, but AIW Officials are confident enough that's she is a female to book her in a Woman's Tournament. On the other side of the ring however is one of the most dominant female wrestlers in Ohio this side of Hailey Hatred. Jessika has been in the ring with the likes of Luna Vachon and Rhyno, so she's no stranger to large and strange competitors. But she might have met her match in Super Oprah.

-SAMMI LANE VS. MARY ELIZABETH
Sammi Lane, a native of Boston is coming into the tournament looking to make an impact outside of her local scene. This is Sammi's first venture into the mid west and she's expecting to take the title back home with her after winning. Standing in the ring with her will be mid west stand out, Mary Elizabeth. Known for her work mostly in Southern Ohio, this is both girl's chance to shine in Northeast Ohio. Will Mary win and keep the title in the mid west? Or will Sammi win and take the belt home with her to Boston?

NON-TOURNAMENT MALE ACTION:
-INTENSE TITLE: JOHNNY GARGANO DEFENDS AGAINST JOSH PROHIBITION!
Ever since their amazing match at "Gauntlet For The Gold 3" AIW fans have demanded another match between the two. When Gargano won The Intense Title at "Gauntlet For The Gold 4", Josh Prohibition decided to make a challenge towards Gargano. With his recent victory on Colt Cabana, J.Pro has been on fire. Will he finally do what he's not been able to since 2005 and win an AIW Title? Or will Gargano keep his destiny alive and keep the AIW Intense Title?

-THE LATEST CHAPTER IN THE HOMELESS HANDICAP CONNECTION VS. DA LATIN CRIME SYNDICATE!
With a feud that's been going on for over a year, things have gotten as serious as outside of the ring violence and flag burning. With The Homeless Handicap Connection one-upping the Latins by using Hulk Hogan impressions to interrupt their flag burning, The Homeless have challenged Da Latins to a 6-Man Tag at Absolution 4 with a mystery partner. But will either team make it to June? The latest chapter of their feud will happen at GNO. Will it be a unsanctioned brawl? Will it be a normal match? Nobody is saying, but one would figure it would have great repercussions on Absolution 4 regardless of what happens.

-AIW TAG TITLES: THE YOUNG STUDS DEFEND AGAINST FLIP/LYNDON!
Another match that many fans have requested a rematch of is one from "March For The Gold 2" in which The Young Studs successfully defended their AIW Tag Titles against Flip Kendrick and Louis Lyndon. The ending of the match saw Eric Ryan blind Flip and he actually mistakenly attacked his own brother, Louis. This time, Louis and Flip both claim they aren't allowing that to happen again. Will Flip/Lyndon successfully win the AIW Tag Titles? This match has serious implications on Absolution 4, as who will face Faith In Nothing in a TLC match for the titles?

-CHRISTIAN FAITH VS. THE NEW BEVERLY BROTHERS!
Falling to an injury, Vincent Nothing missed "Good Times, Great Memories". With him missing, Christian Faith was unable to defeat the AIW Tag Champs, The Young Studs. Faith isn't letdown by the loss, instead answering a challenge from The New Beverly Brothers. Faith via Agent Aaron Bauer claims if Vincent Nothing isn't ready, he will personally win the AIW Tag Titles himself at Absolution 4. This match is a test of that, as he will need to beat two men at once. Will Faith be carry the weight of both members of Faith In Nothing while Vincent is gone?

IWA Puerto Rico Results from Bayamon, PR on May 16th 2009

-Xtreme Combat Division:
El Cuervo defeats Empio,Super Atomo & Vertigo by pinfall in a total spotfest. What is the Xtreme Combat Division? A collection of small, indy-level jobbers willing to do crazy spotfest for $25 a night.

-IWA Puerto Rican Title:
"The Rebel" Chris Joel defeats Kahagas/with Rico Casanova by pinfall to retain the title. Joel is looking stellar in the ring and on the mic and IWA should capitalize on his momentum. Typical big man vs little man match with Joel bumping around and finally getting the win with a school-boy rollup.

-IWA Caribbean Title:
Golden Boy defeats Ravishing Richard Rondon by pinfall to win the title. They continue to hype the feud between Richard and a newcomer named Gilbert who seems to be having issues with Rondon after an altercation at a gym. Gilbert interferes wearing a mask, Rondon gets distracted with him and takes off the mask to reveal Gilbert (of course) and Golden Boy capitalizes to win the belt. Golden Boy has also been stellar since returning to IWA and I hope he gets a big push this time around.

-Dominican Republic Tag Team Titles:
El Bacano & Eli Rodriguez defeat La Cruzz del Diablo by pinfall to retain the titles. Dean Ross interferes for the Dominicans and nails Cruzz with the flagpole, allowing Bacano to cover him and win the match. The Dominicans draw a lot of heat and now that they are defending the Dominican belts in Puerto Rico the heat has increased since they claim that those belts are more important than the IWA Puerto Rico belts.

-IWA Puerto Rico Tag Team Titles Tournament:
The Arabians defeat Lynn(Niche's cousin)& El Niche by pinfall after interference from Raymond Zales.Three straight interference finishes! How original is that booking team....

-IWA Intercontinental Title:
Rick Stanley defeats Super Crazy by pinfall to win the belt after a low blow.

-Grudge Match:
Blitz defeats Noel Rodriguez by pinfall in a great match. Crowd was on their feet the whole time. After the bout Rondon & Stanley attack Blitz until Mr. Big runs in for the save.

- Special announcement that Ricky Banderas will be part of the IWA 10th Anniversary Show (which is the first time they actually hold an Anniversary Show) on July 18th 2009.

-Three-Way Dance: IWA Undisputed World Title:
"The Golden Latino" Joe Bravo defeats Chicano & ROH World Champion Jerry Lynn by pinfall to retain the title. Bravo disposed of Lynn and pinned Chicano after his DDT to retain the belt. Another great match.

-Brother vs Brother Family War:
Hombre Dinamita (Savio Vega under the TNT character, but WWC owns the TNT name so he goes by "Dynamite Man" instead) vs Dennis Rivera went to double DQ. This was an absolute war. Vega used the TNT character to show how serious he was about hurting his brother for all the has done. TNT is basically a Great Muta clone, with paint, mist and everything. The finish has Vega going ballistic and mauling Rivera in the corner. The ref tries to stop him, but he tosses the ref. A second ref comes in, but Rivera is the one to toss him out. Both men trade blows like crazy until officials and Savio's family come out to stop the contest. Dennis leaves the ringside area as The Dominicans run in to attack Savio in front of his family. Savio is getting massacred as someone from the family brings out Dennis, who refuses to help Savio and leaves. Savio's mom hurries backstage and pleads with Dennis, who comes back out armed with a kendo stick and cleans house to a loud pop. Dennis calls for the mic and says that he and Savio don't see eye to eye, but he is his flesh and blood and no one else is going to hurt him. Quasi-face turn for Dennis? Noel Rodriguez is watching from the second floor and looks none too happy about seeing Savio and Dennis reunite. Is this the end of the Savio-Dennis feud? Is Team Malice (Dennis and Noel) oficially over? TUNE IN TO FIND OUT!

World Wrestling Council Results for May 16th, 2009 from Caguas, PR

- Rick Adonis defeats Love Adonis/with Jesse the Latin Freebird by DQ. Seriously, they decided to split up Los Adorables and now the two gay guys are at each other's throats. Jesse also turns on Rick (the fat one) and he and Love give him a beatdown, which causes the DQ. Harmless comedy
match.

-WWC World Tag Team Titles:
Thunder & Lightning defeat "Canada's Sensation" Shawn Spears & Mr. X by pinfall. It was supposed to be Castillo and Spears, but Castillo no-showed. I guess that's why this bout was so low in the card. Spears was once in WWE as a jobber I think. Mr. X was pinned during the contest to keep Spears strong. I bet Spears ends up on a team with Idol Stevens soon.

- "Mr. Hardcore" Rico Suave defeats Hiram Tua by pinfall after Tua gets a crossbody from the top and Suave uses THE POWER OF BEING FAT to end up on top and score the pin.

-Loser Wears a Dress:
Chicky Starr defeats Mr. Mac by pinfall. The match is the result of Mac and his crew attacking Chicky last week and putting make-up and stuff on him. After the bout Mac is forced into a dress and they put lipstick and stuff on him. Now please, let the feud die. They have battled under every stipulation under the sun and moon, so unless the next bout is Loser Leaves Town, let it die!

-WWC Junior Heavyweight Title: Three-Way Dance
"Mr. Puerto Rico" Tommy Diablo defeats Carlitos & WWC Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Man-Beast" Angel by pinfall to become the new champion. Carlitos nailed the 619 and Senton Splash on Angel, but Diablo scurried behind him and rolled him up while holding on to the ropes to win the bout. Great match!

-WWC Puerto Rican Title:
Aaron "The Superstar Idol" Stevens defeats "The Phenomenal" BJ by pinfall to become the new champion. Corino ran in during the match and nailed BJ with the loaded glove, but BJ managed to kick out at two and continue the match. Eventually Jose Chaparro interferes and grabs on to BJ's leg, allowing Stevens to kick him and nail his neckbreaker finisher to win the bout and the title.

- "Mr. Ratings" Rey Gonzales defeats La Pesadilla by DQ. Excellent match! During the bout Rey managed to rip Pesadilla's mask off, but he had another one underneath! The match continues and Rey starts breaking apart Pesadilla's mask, this time almost revealing the face of Orlando Colon (which really had the crowd on their feet) but Pesadilla comes back and manages to adjust the mask and stop Rey from removing it any further. Eventually Pesadilla takes the coward's way out and intentionally nails the ref with a superkick (a move patented by Orlando in PR) to get DQ'ed. Pesadilla then starts to cut Rey's hair until the faces make the save. This clearly leads to a Hair vs Mask match at the next big event.

-WWC Universal Title: Barbed-Wire Match
"Mr.Wrestling" Steve Corino defeats "The Suicidal" Sabu by pinfall. Very bloody match with both men using not only the barbed-wire, but also chairs, sticks and whatever else they could get their hands on. Corino retains the belt.

NWA Anarchy taping

NWA Anarchy returned to the NWA Television Arena in Cornelia Saturday night for another scintillating international television taping.

Attendance was 140 and it was a generally hotter group than two weeks ago. There is no direct attendance comparison with a year ago because Anarchy didn’t run due to the big NWA shindig at Philips Arena.

It was a taping that was very strong on storyline development. The climax of Iceberg’s babyface turn was the highlight in that regard, but across the board, the creative forces at Anarchy have got things cooking. The quality of the wrestling was more than adequate to carry the stories forward, although the wrestling end of things didn’t feel as critical in this case as it has at other points. A lot of the star power was packed into the six-man main event, like they often did in the early days of NWA Wildside. Once again, care was taken to give fans compelling reasons to return for the next show.

(1) Anthony Henry beat Dustin Knight in 5:36. Todd Sexton came out to sit in with The Best Damn Announce Team Period (Greg Hunter and John Johnson). Henry and Knight are both regulars with APW in Royston. They’ve both appeared in Anarchy before but it’s not like the crowd knew them (strike one). They came out wearing identically colored gear (strike two) and did a bunch of moves that nobody gave a rat’s ass about (strike three). Knight hit a spinning neckbreaker with Henry’s feet draped over the top rope for his big near fall. Henry pinned Knight with a fishermanbuster.

Sexton issued a challenge to Henry, continuing the story of the sadistic veteran who enjoys beating up young rookies. By the time, I was hoping Sexton would kick both of their asses.

(2) Todd Sexton pinned Anthony Henry in 3:54. Crowd didn’t care if Henry lived or died. Sexton punished Henry with moves like a forward rolling slam and a belly to belly suplex. Sexton countered a top rope huracanrana with a single leg crab, but Henry made the ropes. Henry kicked out after eating a superkick. Sexton blocked Henry’s finisher and finished him with the running knee strike to the noggin.

After the match, Sexton stood atop the announcer’s booth to deliver his catch phrase.

A video shot in the home of Shadow Jackson was shown on the WrestleVision. This was pretty great. Jackson said Jeremy Vain tried to cripple him. That was to be expected. “But you took it a one step further. You put your hands on my son. MY SON.” Jackson said Vain would pay for his sins of cowardice. “You don’t have the stones to take me on like a man.” Jackson asked to have Vain taken off suspension. “I need you back.” Jackson said Vain would feel his family’s pain. The video ended with close up shot of photos of Jackson’s infant son. Truly gut level stuff, which is pretty difficult to pull off in pro wrestling these days.

(3) Wild Bunch (Billy Buck & Chris King) beat Technicians (Tyler Smith & Bobby Moore) in 5:40. These teams must be sick of seeing each other. Comic opening as Moore went down face first after taking a series of elbows from Buck. Moore used a blind tag to get the drop on King. The fashion police in the South section noted that Moore’s tights were drooping to where it looked like his ass was halfway to his knees. King did a nice slingshot flip over the top of one of the Techs to make the hot tag to Buck, who capped off the house cleaning by flipping Smith over the top rope onto Moore. Finish saw referee Ken Wallace catch Moore putting his partner on top of King. While Wallace was chasing Moore out, Buck reversed the pile so King ended up on top of Smith. Decent match. They timed the shenanigans with the finish right.

On the WrestleVision, we saw Seth Delay apologizing to Brodie Chase for deserting him last time. Delay said he couldn’t help himself when that “redneck ninja” Slim J showed up. Chase wasn’t upset. He came out smelling like a rose because of his female admirer. J appeared on screen. He said he was going to make Delay suffer. Chase said it was two against one so J better get to steppin’. J said he was no dummy. He had back up in the form of Orion Bishop. Chase and Delay backed off. Good stuff. It was shot in such a way that Bishop looked like a huge monster compared to the heels.

(4) Entourage (Andrew Alexander & Mike Mosley) beat Kareem Abdul Jamar & Mr. Georgia in 6:36. I got a kick out of Jamar and the debuting Mr. Georgia doing the rah-rah southern babyface routine. Entourage cut the ring in half and destroyed Jamar with high impact moves. Jamar fought out of the heel corner to make the tag. Georgia ran wild. He busted out the Thesz Press. But alas, not water in the pool for Jamar’s splash off the top. Alexander gave Jamar a piledriver and Mosley finished him with his reverse Ace crusher. Solid tag match.

(5) Iceberg squashed Aaron Lee in 2:38. This was an OK squash. Lee didn’t take the huge bumps justified by the ridiculous size mismatch. The cannonball splash was cool. From my vantage point, it provided a total eclipse of Lee. Iceberg scored the pinfall with the Ground Zero.

The Devil’s Rejects slithered out of the darkness to jump Iceberg. Malachi hit the ring with a steel chair. The Revered still liked the odds. NWA Anarchy owner Jerry Palmer jumped in with his ax handle. Rejects decided to give it up. A massive “Iceberg” chant ensued. Palmer said Iceberg once beat him within an inch of his life and cost him several days in the hospital, but like the fans, he respected Berg. Palmer promised he could be a friend Berg could trust, unlike those lowlife Rejects. Palmer extended his hand. Twice, Berg slapped it away and then shoved Palmer. At this point, the crowd was begging Iceberg to do the handshake, and when he finally did, the Church of Southern Wrestling exploded. In a show fo of trust, Iceberg invited Palmer to go up the ramp ahead of him. Iceberg’s facial expression during this were awesome. Palmer was great here as well. Live, this was one spectacular segment. If it comes across on tape halfway as well, it should close out hour number one of the TV.

(6) New Wave (Steven Walters & Derrick Driver) beat Talent & Money (JT Talent & Drew Pendleton III) to retain the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Titles in 6:55. Putting these teams together right now is a can’t miss proposition. The pop for New Wave was phenomenal. These guys have it. New Wave scored with a couple of nice pinning combinations early. The chest cracker and dropkick sequence between Driver and Talent was the best looking action of the night thus far. Driver’s twisting springboard crossbody splatted on the mat when Talent ducked. T & M did a number on Driver’s gut. Crowd revved up a “Derek” chant. Hot tag. Walters with a side Russian legsweep for a near fall. New Wave tried for the Unskinny Bop, but Talent was there to break it up. Walters fought off Talent’s interference and rolled Pendleton up for the three count. This has turned into a top notch rivalry.

Postmatch, Talent & Money locked eyes with New Wave. No handshake but no garbage either. The point was made – T & M don’t like the champions, but they do respect them.

(7) Malachi beat Frankie Valentine to retain the Young Lion’s Championship in 6:30. This match was what the Young Lion’s Division should be – fast-paced, hard-hitting, no-nonsense action. They beat the hell out of each other. Valentine's head was freshly shaven from losing a Hair vs. Mask match to “Nightmare” Ted Allen in SECW. Valentine gave Malachi a downward spiral into the turnbuckle to take over. Valentine worked on Malachi’s back with submissions. They traded stiff chops. Malachi drew blood. Malachi hit a powerslam to start his comeback. Malachi went up top. Valentine cut him off and tried for top rope huracanrana. Malachi blocked that and hit the top rope diving headbutt for the pin. Nice match. Malachi does his talking in the ring.

(8) Slim J & Orion Bishop beat Seth Delay & Brodie Chase in 4:07. The decibel level hit a peak (the others being New Wave’s intro and the main) for J’s entrance. This was rub to the max for Bishop. J started strong but soon fell prey to heel chicanery. It looked like Delay spiked J on his head with a spinning headscissors. Delay followed with a brainbuster suplex for a near fall. Delay used Roderick Strong’s fireman’s carry double knee gutbuster. But when Delay went to do the swivel hips, J popped up with a lariat from hell. J made the tag and took Chase over the top with a headscissors. Delay was a sitting duck for Bishop’s spear.

Postmatch, on the sly, Delay nailed J with the brass knucks again and ran to safety of Chase’s arms. THEN he collapsed. Delay never fails to entertain.

(9) Shaun Tempers (with the Reverend) beat Bo Newsome to retain the NWA Anarchy TV Title in 5:26. Tempers looks like a star when he comes out to the ring. That’s a sentence I never expected to write. The timing and execution of his stuff is spot on. Shows what a ton of hard work and dedication can do. Strong heel/face dynamic here, as the fans really like Bo. Tempers took him to school. Newsome hit a flying bodypress of the top for a near fall. He tried for a backslide. Not happening. Hangman neckbreaker by Tempers and it’s over.

Postmatch: Tempers zeroed on Newsome with evil intentions. Ace Rockwell hit the ring. That brought Phil Shatter and Kimo out to attack Rockwell. Truitt Fields tried to make a save, but the odds were stacked, and the faces were being beaten on. Out came Mikal Judas. The heels took a powder. Bill Behrens surveyed the situation and said he was changing the main event (Kimo vs. Judas) to a six man tag. Sweet.

(10) Jessco Blue (with Don Matthews) beat Jay Clinton (with Mike Mosley & Andrew Alexander) in a Hair vs. Hair Match (6:06). Blue was putting his hillbilly hippie hair up against Clinton’s outlandish two tone Mohawk. Clinton said Jeff Lewis had to make an emergency trip to Costa Rica to deal with Heidi and Spencer, so the tag match was off. Jessco has a zest for life. Crowd was into seeing him pound lumps on Clinton, who did a lot of hair pulling. He did the woman’s spot - standing on Blue’s hair while trying to pull the arms out of their sockets. Clinton started to work an honest-to-God submission on Blue’s arm. Clinton went for that silly ropes walk strut, and Blue pulled him down with an arm drag. They traded and it was wild. Clinton busted Blue’s eye open the hardway. Blue blasted Clinton with a forearm for the lights out pin. Blue was left with blood streaming down his face onto his chest. They got about as much out this match as they possibly could have.

Wild Bunch came out to ensure that Clinton’s partners would not be able to save him from his fate. Matthews and Blue took turns clipping the Mohawk with the scissors. Out came the electric razor for some shaving action. They didn’t shave Clinton’s head bald, but this was even better, because they messed him up so bad that he couldn’t have looked more hideous. Blue slapped Clinton to wake him up and kicked him in the ass. Clinton was subjected to the “Bald-headed geek” chant.

Palmer entered the ring with the heavyweight title belt saying he had bad news. Palmer called out Vain and Rob Adonis. With a look of glee, Vain told Palmer no apologies were necessary for suspending him as long as he got the title. “Crown me.” Palmer said it wasn’t happening like that. Palmer said he was reinstating Vain at Jackson’s request and giving him a title shot on June 20, but it would be his last shot. Unbeknownst to Vain, Jackson had stealthed into the ring from the front door. Palmer advised Vain to look behind him. Vain shoved Adonis towards Jackson. Jackson dispensed with Adonis. Vain bailed out untouched. Fans gave Jackson a huge ovation as he limped up the ramp.

(11) Truitt Fields & Ace Rockwell & Mikal Judas beat Phil Shatter & Kimo & Shaun Tempers (with the Reverend & Jeff G. Bailey) in 14:43 when Fields pinned the NWA National Champion Shatter. Monster pop for the babyface side. No random six man here. Everyone involved had a well defined issue with somebody else. Tempers took some great bumps early. Judas had him goozled but Kimo intervened. Kimo and Judas staggered each other with heavy blows. They did a test of strength. Kimo broke it with a judo throw. Judas immediately answered with a lariat. The faces trapped Kimo in the corner and did he ever take a beating, but he never went down. Rockwell ended up as the babyface-in-peril, a role he plays oh so well. He did an awesome job selling Kimo’s rapid fire martial arts blows. Rockwell hit a shades-of-double A spinebuster on Tempers to set up the hot tag to Judas. They lost the crowd here a bit for some reason. It broke down to wild 6 way action. Fields hit a flying shoulder block off a blind tag to break up a PTSD attempt by Shatter. Shatter blocked the Killing Fields. Fields blocked the PTSD and pinned Shatter with a backslide.

Hunter announced Shatter vs. Fields for the NWA National Title on June 20. For those of you keeping score at home, both of the top singles titles will be up for grabs in two weeks.

FIP Tag Team Title Match Signed!
The FIP Championship Committee has announced that on Saturday night August 1st, 2009 Erick Stevens and Roderick Strong will defend the FIP Tag Team Titles against The British Lions in a Texas Tornado Rules match. Sean Davis of Heartbreak Enterprises said, "I have no idea why the match is being held under Texas Tornado Rules. This is Tag Team wrestling. Having all 4 men in the ring at once pretty much negates the entire premise of it being a TAG TEAM match doesn't it? Well that's ok. We already proved my British Lions can defeat Stevens and Strong last month, so doing it again will be a piece of cake."

Roderick Strong replied, "Yeah they got us last time out in the 6 man tag, but when these belts are on the line it's a whole different story. Erick and I are leaving Crystal River with the belts. Count on it."

YRR Issues a BIG Challenge
Things have not been going too well for the YRR of late, but apparently MSL has a plan to remedy that. "Yeah the last few months have seen some upheaval within the YRR, but out of the Chaos comes clarity, and my goal for the YRR has never been clearer, get the YRR back to the top here in FIP, and the best way to do that? Why that's simple, you walk up to the biggest baddest guy on the block and you smack him right in the teeth.

Last month in Crystal River Kory Chavis got involved in a matter that was of no concern to him when he stepped in to team with Kenny King against the YRRSo Kory Chavis, you and your partner Jon Davis are about to get your comeuppance. Chasyn Rance and Sal Rinauro are going to walk up to you two goofs, and smack you right in the teeth, and there's nothing you can do about it".

Kory Chavis responded, "Chasyn Rance and Sal Rinauro are going to do WHAT??? There gonna smack WHO in the teeth??? I sincerely hope for your sakes that St.Laurent has made certain you are current on your health insurance, because that guy's mouth just guaranteed you a trip to the hospital on August 1st boys."

World Title Rematch hype heating up!
The FIP office has been abuzz since the announcement of the rematch between Kenny King and Davey Richards for the World Title. Kenny King has been sending messages every day from his training facility in Las Vegas for World Champ Davey Richards.

Today's message said, "It's all up to him. If he rushes me he will get knocked out quick. Or he can try to wrestle me and get punished. It's all up to him. I respect him as a fighter but as a man, I don't respect him. I think he's a bum. I think he's a B+ fighter but he's a bum and I'll walk right through him. I will see you after the fight and look you right into the eye and say, See I told you he was a bum.' I don't have any respect for him. None."

If Richards was taken aback by the brashness of the Pretty Boy Pitbull, he didn't let on. "Let him keep thinking I'm a bum. Let him think he's going to walk right through me. I destroyed the myth of Tyler Black, I helped destroy the myth of the Briscoes, and of Steen and Generico, so I'll have no problem destroying the human hype machine Kenny King. The thing Kenny doesn't realize, the difference between him and I is that he's almost as good as he thinks he is, but I'm even better than he knows I am. He'll find that out on August 1st."

YOU WANT IT – YOU’VE GOT IT – WE’RE KICKIN’ UP A RIOT:
XPW X - THE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY SPECTACULAR

After last year's successful XPW Cold Day In Hell reunion spectacular fans and XPW wrestlers alike were all asking one question, "Will there be a 10 year anniversary show?"

After months of speculation, debate, and campaigning, the demand of both the fans and the wrestlers and staff of the original XPW was just too much and there was only one conclusion to be reached: The Show Must Go On!

And, so it is with great pride that the phenomenon known as XPW, which was officially born on Saturday, July 31, 1999 at the Reseda Country Club, in Reseda, CA, and which would grow into being one of the most controversial and entertaining wrestling upstarts of all time, will celebrate it’s 10 year anniversary on Saturday afternoon, August 22, 2009.

From the Reseda Country Club and Birmingham High School in the San Fernando Valley, to The Palace in Hollywood, to the Los Angeles Sports Arena and The Olympic Auditorium in Downtown, to the Pico Rivera Sports Arena, XPW was always about California and LA. It was part of the reason that the rebel group pulled off one of the most talked about publicity stunts of all time when they “invaded” ECW’s Heatwave PPV live from the very same Olympic Auditorium which would become their home.

Now, as former XPW VP Mike Hartsfield prepares to oversee what will no doubt be the most sentimental show in XPW history, he lets fans in on his philosophy for XPW X. “If Cold Day In Hell proved one thing to me, it was that the fans in LA were always the most loyal and hardcore XPW fans and that it really was the ‘local boys’ the ones from SoCal and NorCal who were the heart and soul of the company. Of course we owed a debt of gratitude to the stars who would head to XPW after leaving ECW or any other promotion, but XPW was carried not on the backs of those men, but on the guys who came up through the ranks and who gave their all to build the company. So, it is those fans and those wrestlers form whom I wanted to be sure this show could happen.”

“Therefore, on SummerSlam weekend here in Los Angeles, XPW will present XPW X: The 10 Year Anniversary Spectacular live from The Arena in the heart of Hollywood, CA, just a few blocks away from Hollywood and Highland live on Saturday, August 22, at 2 PM. It’s going to be a great afternoon of authentic XPW action!”

While XPW’s Cold Day In Hell drew well over 1,500 fans, The Arena has a capacity of just over 800, so a sell-out is expected. “The venue is just tremendous,” Hartsfield continued. “While normally a 21 and over venue, they are allowing us to have the event be all-ages. The floor will be 21+ with multiple full bars and the upper level will be all-ages. The venue has a full restaurant as well so food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available wherever fans are seated.”

“And we want it to be an event everyone can attend, so we are purposely making the entire building GA seating and keeping ticket prices low at $25. Plus, we will be offering a 5 pack of tickets for $100, so fans who buy together can save $5 on each ticket.”

Already scheduled to appear are XPW King of the Deathmatch “The Human Horror Film” Supreme, Homeless Jimmy, Luke Hawx, former XPW World Champion “White Trash” Johnny Webb, “The Hardcore Homo” Angel, and Scorpio Sky. More talent will be announced next week.

Tickets will go on sale on Thursday morning, July 9, at 10 AM PT via both TheXPW.com and GrooveTickets.com.

The Arena is located at 6655 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90038.

The event will also be broadcast live on the internet via iClips.net and released on DVD from Big Vision Entertainment (BVDVD.com) and Xtreme Entertainment Group (XEGDVD.com).

The event is sponsored by New Age Records (NewAgeRecords.com), Loyal Clothing (RockLoyal.com), USA Printing (USA-Printing.com), and Suspension Clothing.
