Stando a quanto riporta Wrestling Observer, Cody Rhodes avrebbe raggiunto un accordo con la New Japan Pro Wrestling per prendere parte ad una serie di show. Come anticipato dallo stesso Rhodes, uno dei match in NJPW sarà contro Katsuyori Shibata.
