La NJPW, prima di "War of The Worlds", ha annunciato l'introduzione di una nuova cintura, IWGP United States title. La promotion giapponese terrà un tournament l'1 e 2 Luglio a "G1 Special in USA" per decretare il primo campione US. La NJPW ha annunciato che Jay Lethal è il primo wrestler annunciato per il tournament.
