Rob Van Dam è stato aggiunto alla lista dei wrestler pubblicizzati per il nuovo PPV "WWE Battleground", PPV che si svolgerà il prossimo 6 ottobre a Buffalo, NY, e che sostituisce il precedente "Over the Limit". Altri nomi annunciati per il PPV sono John Cena, CM Punk, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler e lo Shield.
Sembra quindi sempre più probabile che RVD rimanga in federazione almeno fino alla fine dell'anno.
